Brent's Pictures

Today is our official first day without Nick. Nick headed back (the second attempt) for Iraq yesterday. His first scheduled flight out last week was definitely rough....we drove 2 hours to the airport, said goodbye, and Brent and I went out to the 100 degree St. Louis parking garage to drive back only to find a completely dead car. So after waiting 2 hours in the heat with a 2 week old for AAA to come and getting back to Springfield about 10:00pm we then found out Nick was stuck in Chicago, his flight was cancelled and was not going to make the weekly flight out overseas. So the next day, he took a bus back half way and we picked him up and had one more week together. So yesterday we did it all again and things went a lot smoother besides Nick not having anymore time at home. But we can not complain because we were extremely lucky and blessed to have the opportunity for Nick to be home and would not change anything. October should come quickly.
